An Indian-origin individual has been implicated in recent pager bombings in Lebanon, according to foreign media reports. The suspect, identified as Renson Hozey, is alleged to have been involved in supplying pagers used in the explosions, with possible Israeli facilitation.
Norwegian police informed Reuters that they received a report on September 25 about a missing person suspected of involvement in a pager supply deal in Lebanon. Subsequent investigations revealed this to be the same Indian-origin individual who has now fled.
Hozey reportedly escaped to the United States from Norway to evade arrest. When contacted by Reuters regarding the pager explosions, he terminated the call without responding.
International authorities have issued a warrant for Hozey's arrest, with relevant officials instructed to assist in his apprehension globally.
This incident follows previous allegations of Indian involvement in cross-border activities. In a separate case, former Indian Navy personnel were reportedly caught spying for Israel in Qatar.
These events have raised questions about India's role in international security matters, with various investigative bodies previously presenting documented evidence on the country's alleged involvement in extraterritorial activities.
