The Alkhidmat Foundation has officially inaugurated its 56th hospital in Quetta, a significant step towards enhancing healthcare services in Balochistan.
The new facility, which cost Rs200 million, occupies a sprawling area of 20,000 square feet.
The inauguration ceremony was graced by prominent figures, including Dr. Hafeez Ur Rehman, President of Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan; Syed Ihsanullah Waqas, Vice President; Dr. Mushtaq Ahmed Mangat, President of Alkhidmat Balochistan; Engineer Jamil Ahmad Kurd; Maulana Abdul Haq Hashmi, Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami Balochistan; and MPA Abdul Majeed Badini. The event was attended by a diverse group of political and social dignitaries, along with a substantial turnout of local residents.
Dr Hafeez Ur Rehman highlighted the hospital’s comprehensive features, which include 50 beds, specialised services in gynaecology, paediatrics, and general surgery, a modern diagnostic laboratory, an operating theatre, dedicated wards for men and women, a pharmacy, and 24-hour emergency services.
Dr. Rehman underscored the importance of accessible and quality healthcare, stating, “Access to basic and quality healthcare is a fundamental right of every citizen.
Unfortunately, a significant portion of Pakistan’s population is still deprived of this right.” He also noted that last year, the Alkhidmat Foundation invested PKR 9.1 billion in health services, benefiting millions of patients nationwide.
This new hospital in Quetta is part of Alkhidmat Foundation’s extensive network of 56 hospitals across Pakistan. These facilities are dedicated to providing essential and quality healthcare services free of charge to those in need, reflecting the Foundation’s commitment to improving health outcomes across the country.
