The first Pakistani tourism seminar was held in Damascus, Syria, aimed at promoting tourism between the two countries. Organized by Pakistan's Ambassador to Syria, Air Marshal (Retd) Shahid Alvi, the event brought together nine Pakistani tour operators and Syrian tourism officials.
The Syrian Ministry of Tourism hosted the Pakistani delegates, providing them with comprehensive tours of various cities and tourist sites to familiarize them with Syrian culture. Detailed information about local cuisines and regions was shared, sparking interest among the participants to visit Pakistan.
The seminar was attended by representatives from the Foreign Office, DG Asia, and other ambassadors and dignitaries. Pakistani tour operators praised the beauty of Syria's top tourist destinations.
At the conclusion of the seminar, both countries expressed mutual interest in establishing regular tourist exchanges in the future. This initiative marks a significant step towards strengthening cultural and tourism ties between Pakistan and Syria.
