Vikas Sethi, a well-known television actor from popular Indian soaps like Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi and Kahiin To Hoga, passed away at the age of 48 on Sunday, September 8.
The actor reportedly suffered a cardiac arrest while sleeping at his residence in Mumbai. His body has been sent to Cooper Hospital for a post-mortem examination.
Sethi, who had earned a reputation for his roles in daily soaps and a few Bollywood films, had faced several health issues in recent years. In 2021, he underwent leg surgery and was determined to recover fully, frequently sharing fitness and motivational posts on his social media accounts.
Despite his efforts to regain normalcy, industry insiders revealed that the actor had been battling depression and financial difficulties in his later years.
In recent times, Sethi had ventured into film production, launching his own company, CK Pictures. However, his health and personal challenges appeared to overshadow his professional pursuits.
One of his final social media posts was a heartwarming tribute to his mother, where he celebrated Mother's Day with her. Sethi captioned the post, "HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY. MOM LOVE YOU (sic)."
Alongside his television work, Sethi appeared in films such as Oops!, Deewanapan, and Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham. He is survived by his wife, Jhanvi, and their twin children.
