The Lahore High Court (LHC) Friday ordered the removal of Lieutenant General Munir Afsar from his position as Chairman of the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA).
The provincial apex court invalidated his appointment, following a petition filed by citizen Ashba Kamran challenging the legality of the decision.
The court's verdict comes as part of a broader case that questioned the appointment process of the NADRA chairman.
After hearing arguments, the court ruled in favor of the petitioner, Ashba Kamran, effectively annulling the appointment of Lt. General Afsar.
