At least 10 terrorists, including their ringleader, were killed by security forces during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) conducted on the reported presence of terrorists in the general area Pezu of Tank district.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), during the operation, an intense exchange of fire took place between the armed forces and terrorists.
The ISPR added that the assailants remained actively involved in numerous terrorist activities against the security forces, as well as extortion and killing of innocent civilians.
A large cache of arms, ammunition and explosives was also recovered during the operation.
