Chairman of the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad, announced today that the moon for the Islamic month of Rabi-ul-Awwal has not been sighted anywhere in Pakistan.
As a result, the 1st of Rabi-ul-Awwal will commence on September 6, 2024.
In his conversation with the media, Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad confirmed the committee's decision after thorough consultations and reports from across the country.
He also stated that Eid Milad-un-Nabi, the celebration of the birth of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), will be observed on September 17, 2024.
The announcement came after the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, alongside representatives from the Ministry of Religious Affairs, the Ministry of Science and Technology, and other relevant bodies, carefully reviewed the crescent sighting reports from various regions.
