Two fake candidates were apprehended during the matriculation supplementary exams at the Lawrence Road Centre in Lahore.
According to the examinations controller, the impostors were caught while attempting to sit the exams on behalf of a friend and a younger brother. Both were immediately handed over to the police for further investigation.
The Lahore board's secret monitoring team conducted a surprise raid at the examination center, leading to the arrest of the two individuals.
During questioning, one of the fake candidates, Waqas, confessed that he was taking the exam in place of his younger brother, while the other, Mairaj, admitted that he was sent by a friend who did not know the exam subject.
The controller of the Lahore board stated that strict action is being taken against both the fake and genuine candidates involved in this fraudulent act. The board has vowed to maintain the integrity of the examination process and ensure that such incidents are dealt with severely.
