Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has issued a heavy rain alert for several districts in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, starting from Monday (today).
Humid winds from the Bay of Bengal are expected to enter the upper regions of the province, bringing rain and strong winds to areas including Peshawar, Abbottabad, Mansehra, Dir, Swat, and other districts.
Due to the anticipated weather conditions, there is a significant risk of landslides in mountainous areas and urban flooding in low-lying regions.
The PDMA has advised all district administrations to remain vigilant and take necessary precautions to mitigate potential damage and ensure public safety.
The situation will be closely monitored, and the authorities have urged residents to stay informed and follow any advisories issued by local administrations.
