Senate Chairman Yousuf Raza Gillani on Sunday urged Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to lead the negotiations with the opposition.
Expressing his thoughts, Gillani said: "It is a good thing if the talk with the government and opposition is being held." He also asked the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to consider negotiating with the government.
The former prime minister urged the political parties to embrace the unity and forget the political differences.
"We will support the premier's every decision on the matters in line with national security," Gillani said.
Gillani had also expressed his wish of taking JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman on board.
