Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PM&DC) has announced that the entrance test for medical and dental colleges — MDCAT
The exam will be conducted on September 22, 2024.
The exam will take place at 30 locations across the country, with additional centers established in Dubai and Riyadh for overseas candidates.
The responsibility for conducting the MD CAT has been assigned to various government universities across the provinces. In Punjab, the University of Health Sciences Lahore will oversee the examination, while Dow University of Health Sciences will manage the process in Sindh.
Khyber Medical University Peshawar will be responsible for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Bolan University of Medical and Health Sciences will handle the exam in Balochistan, and Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Medical University will conduct the test in Islamabad. Karakoram International University will be in charge of the examination for students from Gilgit-Baltistan.
A total of 174,744 applications were received for the MD CAT, and after thorough scrutiny, 167,000 applications were approved for the exam. Candidates are advised to stay updated by visiting the official PM&DC website for the latest information regarding the entrance test.
PM&DC President has encouraged all candidates to prepare diligently for the upcoming exam and has assured that all necessary arrangements have been made to ensure a smooth and transparent testing process.
