Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has taken a new initiative by appointing immigration officers at the Lahore airport in a significant move aimed at enhancing public convenience.
This step is designed to facilitate citizens and streamline immigration processes at one of Pakistan’s busiest airports.
A total of 24 Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) officers, who have recently completed their course, have been stationed at various desks across the airport. Each officer has been assigned to a separate desk to ensure that travellers receive timely assistance with immigration and other related issues.
The FIA officers will be available around the clock to provide guidance and support to citizens, addressing any concerns they may have during their time at the airport. The officers will be available 24 hours a day to assist and guide citizens.
FIA Lahore Zone Director Sarfaraz Khan emphasized the importance of this initiative, noting that a dedicated officer has been appointed specifically to address and resolve any problems passengers may encounter. "This move is expected to significantly reduce the difficulties faced by travellers at the airport," he said.
The appointment of these officers underscores the government’s commitment to improving services at Lahore Airport, ensuring a smoother and more efficient experience for all passengers.
