Eyewitness accounts recount the horrific terrorist attack that took place on the night of August 25 and 26 in the Musakhel district of Balochistan, where armed men brutally murdered several passengers on a bus travelling along the national highway.
The eyewitness reveals that the assailants specifically targeted passengers hailing from Punjab, sparking outrage and grief across the country.
In a video that has gone viral, a passenger who survived the attack recounted the terrifying events. The witness stated that between 9:30 and 10:30pm on Sunday, as their bus was leaving Kingri tehsil in Sindh, a group of 20 to 25 armed men stopped the vehicle. The terrorists boarded the bus, checked everyone’s identity cards, and ordered those from Punjab to disembark.

"Five people were forced off the bus and shot dead on the spot," the eyewitness recounted in the video. "After the incident, our bus continued for another 20 to 30 minutes before the armed men opened fire again, forcing us to stop. The attackers then took the remaining passengers towards the mountains. It wasn’t until around 5am that security personnel arrived and brought us back to the road."
Musakhel SSP Ayub Achakzai confirmed the incident, stating that the terrorists had blocked several buses and trucks on the national highway in the Rarasham area. After verifying the identity cards, they singled out the passengers from Punjab and executed them. In total, 23 people lost their lives in this heinous act.

The attack has sent shockwaves across Pakistan, with citizens and officials alike condemning the brutal targeting of innocent civilians. The authorities have launched a full-scale investigation into the incident, and security forces are conducting operations to apprehend the perpetrators.
