The 25th edition of ITCN Asia, Pakistan's largest IT and telecom expo, will take place from August 27-29 at the Karachi Expo Center. The event aims to facilitate investors and business people in the IT industry, focusing on key objectives of the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) to position Pakistan as an emerging global tech hub.
Over $500 million in investments are anticipated through ITCN Asia, potentially boosting Pakistan's economy. The expo will also host the second edition of the World CIO 200 Summit, a global event held in 55 countries, further strengthening Pakistan's position in the global technology arena.
State Minister for IT and Telecom, Shaza Fatima Khawaja, will inaugurate the event as the chief guest. Federal Minister for Commerce, Jam Kamal, will be the chief guest at the Agri-Tech conference during the three-day trade fair.
The event will feature 750 renowned global and local companies, including Google, TikTok, Microsoft, Odoo, Huawei, PTCL, and EasyPaisa. It is expected to host over 300 tech sector speakers and 70,000 visitors, including 350 foreign delegates from 17 countries.
Various knowledge sessions will be conducted, covering topics such as digital transformation, investor summit, digital banking, information security, cloud and data center, startup conference, e-commerce, gaming and animation, blockchain, and the World CIO 200 Summit.
Umair Nizam, Event Director of ITCN Asia, stated that Pakistan's IT sector is rapidly progressing with continuous growth in exports and expansion of local companies in various countries. He added that global companies are increasing partnerships with Pakistani firms, paving the way for local industry development.
The 25th ITCN Asia is supported by the Ministry of IT and Telecom, SIFC, Tech Destination Pakistan, Pakistan Telecommunication Authority, Pakistan Software Export Board, Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industries, Ignite, CISO, and Pakistan Software Houses Association (P@SHA).
