The 16th polio case of this year has been reported in Pakistan as Polio virus was confirmed in a 29-month-old girl in Hyderabad.
According to Ayesha Raza Farooq, Prime Minister's Focal Person for Anti-Polio Program, polio virus was reported has been reported in Hyderabad for four months.
“The presence of poliovirus anywhere is a threat to every child,” she said.
National Emergency Operations Center Coordinator Anwarul Haque said that the polio virus in the districts of Hyderabad and Karachi for several months as existed from Anti-polio campaign is being organized from September 9 to increase the immunity of children.
She requested the parents to give their children polio vaccine and said that consultation with the provinces is going on a comprehensive road map.
