Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL) and Mari Petroleum Company Limited have made important progress in addressing Pakistan's energy crisis through recent gas discoveries.
On June 29, OGDCL, in collaboration with SIFC, identified gas reserves in Rahim Yar Khan, Punjab, at a depth of approximately 2,000 meters. This discovery marks an essential step in the country's efforts to boost domestic energy production.
Mari Petroleum Company Limited, known for its 70% exploration success rate, has also reported two consecutive important discoveries in its East Block. Additionally, the company has made a notable gas discovery in the Chagai district.
