Punjab CM Maryam Nawaz in her speech at the flag-hoisting ceremony at Huzuri Bagh in Lahore and said, “May Allah Almighty keep our Pakistan always happy and prosperous, we are a pioneering nation, Allah Almighty will keep Pakistan safe.”
Maryam Nawaz further said: “I want to pay my respects to Arshad Nadeem, when the flag of Pakistan was flying above everyone, I felt very happy.”
“There is a lot of talent in our country, if these children get a good environment, they will develop No one can stop me, I will say to all Pakistanis that as much as this country belongs to us, it also belongs to the minorities. There is no division here, we are all Pakistanis,” she said.

Balochistan Chief Minister (CM) Mir Sarfraz Bugti said that living nations celebrate Independence Day with enthusiasm and a national spirit and stated that shooting sports have been a traditional activity for the Baloch, Pashtun, and local tribes. He said that there is a need to revive this sport.
He mentioned that Independence Day celebrations were underway throughout Balochistan, and also cautioned that some enemy forces are aiming to weaken Pakistan.
A certain group is trying to destabilize the state through propaganda and violence which will be foiled by the contribution of security forces and the nation for the development of the country, he said adding that anti-national forces wanted to create a gulf between the state and the people.
