Karachi has been experiencing intermittent rain since Sunday, bringing both pleasant weather and several challenges for the residents.
According to the Met department, more rain is expected today, with intermittent showers continuing until tomorrow.
Chief Meteorologist Sardar Sarfraz reported that the highest rainfall so far has been recorded at 76mm in Nazimabad. He also indicated that the fifth spell of monsoon is expected to hit the city starting from August 13.
The rain has caused significant road damage and water accumulation in various parts of Karachi. Major roads in areas such as Malir Kala Board, Liaquatabad, the Airport, Model Colony, Stadium Road, and Nazimabad are experiencing waterlogging, leading to traffic disruptions.
A particularly large pothole has appeared near Esa Nagri, prompting the police to close the road for traffic to prevent accidents. The condition of the roads has worsened since yesterday, causing inconvenience to commuters.
