Due to ongoing monsoon rains, the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has raised concerns about potential slippage on the runway at Karachi airport.
The CAA has instructed pilots of all airlines and aviation companies to exercise increased caution when landing and taking off.
The CAA specifically pointed out that Runway No 25L is becoming particularly slippery due to the rain. A Notice to Airmen (Notam) has been issued, highlighting the increased risk of slippage on the wet runway.
"Due to the rains, there is a fear of slipping of planes on the Karachi Airport runway," the CAA warned. This alert comes as part of broader efforts to maintain aviation safety during the challenging monsoon season.
