On June 17, the Australian documentary ‘Infiltrating Australia - India's Secret War’ exposed the sinister reality of the Modi government. The film highlighted how Indian spies targeted Sikhs living in Australia.
According to an Australian channel, the Indian Ministry of Information and Broadcasting issued an order to immediately block the documentary. YouTube subsequently sent a notice to the Australian channel, instructing it to prevent the film from being shown in India.
Despite repeated refusals from the channel, the Modi government insisted on blocking the film with its typical obstinacy.
The Australian channel’s director said that in March 2024, YouTube also blocked a documentary implicating the Modi government in the murder of Hardeep Singh Nijjar in Canada.
Earlier, the Indian Supreme Court had issued a defamation notice to a British broadcaster over a documentary concerning Modi's role in the Gujarat riots. The Modi government described the documentary as biased propaganda and prohibited the sharing of any clips on social media.
Modi and his associates have consistently attempted to silence criticism from around the world, not just within India.
