Karachi is experiencing light and heavy rains across different areas, bringing a pleasant change to the weather. The rains have affected various regions, including Guru Mandir, Garden, Liaquatabad, Nazimabad, Tower, and II Chundrigar Road, providing much-needed relief from the summer heat.
Residents of Karachi have enjoyed the cloudy weather and light rain, both in the morning and evening, which has significantly reduced the intensity of the heat.
According to the Met Department, the weather in the city is cloudy and light rain is expected to continue in the evening, enhancing the overall pleasant atmosphere in the city. It added that light rain is expected to continue in the city for the next five days with heavy rain and thunder on Sunday.
Chief Meteorologist Sardar Sarfaraz has announced that a new monsoon system is expected to enter Karachi starting tomorrow, bringing the fourth spell of rain to the city on August 4 and 5. This monsoon system is predicted to bring light to moderate rain, with occasional thunderstorms anticipated on Sunday.

He said the pleasant weather is likely to persist throughout the month of August, with temperatures ranging between 30 and 33 degrees Celsius.
Currently, Karachi is experiencing a temperature of 28 degrees Celsius with a humidity level of 87%. Winds are blowing at a rate of 32km per hour, adding to the overall coolness.
The ongoing rains and the upcoming monsoon spell are expected to provide continued relief to the residents of Karachi, making the usually hot and humid city more bearable during this time.
Meanwhile, in Islamabad, the Met Department and the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) have issued repeated alerts about more than normal rainfall during this year's monsoon. Citizens across the country are bracing themselves for the risk of severe river flooding and urban inundation.
