A federal cabinet committee established to review various national airports visited Allama Iqbal Airport. Federal Minister for Aviation Khawaja Asif and Federal Minister for Privatization and Communications Abdul Aleem Khan inspected different sectors of Lahore Airport.
Civil Aviation officials were directed to provide all possible facilities to passengers.
Airport Security: The Airport Security Force has been instructed to ensure cooperation from passengers inside and outside the lounge.
Federal Minister Khawaja Asif emphasized treating international passengers with courtesy at immigration counters. Abdul Aleem Khan stressed that passengers should get clearance for international flights at counters in the minimum possible time.
Khawaja Asif highlighted the importance of adhering to international standards for cleanliness and security at airports.
Abdul Aleem Khan stated that airports are the first introduction of any country and must be thoroughly improved. He also mentioned the need for better measures for elderly and women passengers.
The ministers advised avoiding unnecessary checks of goods by following SOPs.
Senior officers of the ASF and Civil Aviation briefed the federal ministers on the ongoing operations and improvements needed at the airport.
