The Pakistan People's Party (PPP) has also joined the list of those filing a review petition in the Supreme Court challenging its recent decision to allocate reserved seats to the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
The petition, submitted by Farooq H. Naik on behalf of the PPP, argues that the PTI has been unfairly granted seats and requests the court to overturn its ruling from July 12. It says the PTI has been allocated seats without it even asking for them.
The PPP's petition contends that the Supreme Court's order on July 12 regarding the allocation of reserved seats to PTI did not follow proper constitutional principles. The party has requested the court to suspend the implementation of this decision until a final ruling is made.

The review petition claims that the Supreme Court's order lacked official notice on the issue and was silent on critical arguments presented by the PPP.
The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has also filed a revision petition concerning the same issue, seeking to overturn the decision on specific seat allocations. Both parties argue that the July 12 order deviates from established constitutional interpretation principles.
The PPP's legal argument emphasizes that the Supreme Court's decision does not adequately address the core issues related to the seat allocations. They argue that the decision should be suspended to ensure fair adjudication based on the principles of the Constitution.

The review petition highlights the ongoing legal and political complexities surrounding seat allocations in Pakistan's political landscape, reflecting broader tensions between major political parties.
On July 15, the PML-N filed a review petition in the Supreme Court challenging the decision made on July 12 regarding the allocation of reserved seats to the PTI. In its petition, the PML-N also requested the issuance of a stay order on the July 12 decision until a final ruling is made on the case.
The review petition argues that the Supreme Court should reconsider and withdraw the decision, asserting that the allotment of reserved seats to the PTI requires thorough review.
The PML-N petition contended that the PTI had not formally requested these reserved seats, and the matter was only brought forward as a suggestion.
