The repatriation of illegal Afghan residents from various cities in Pakistan continues. According to official statistics, as of July 21, 2024, the total number of illegal Afghan residents who have left Pakistan has reached 659,653.
From July 15 to July 21, 6,499 Afghan residents departed, including 2,965 men, 1,658 women, and 1,876 children. The repatriation process involved 234 families using 176 vehicles for their return to Afghanistan.
It's worth noting that even before the Pakistani government's official announcement, a significant number of illegal Afghan residents had been returning to Afghanistan due to fear of arrest. However, official data confirms that over 659,000 Afghan residents have returned to their country as of July 21.
The repatriation process continues as part of Pakistan's efforts to address the issue of illegal residents within its borders.
