The Markazi Tanzeem-e-Tajiran (Central Organisation of Traders) on Tuesday denounced another hike in the prices of petroleum (POL) products.
According to details, traders' leader Kashif Chaudhry said: "The country will witness the tsunami of inflation with the increase in the price of the POL products."
"It has already become challenging to continue the business activities due to the current prices of power and gas," Chaudhry said.
According to the latest notification, the price of petrol has increased by Rs 9.99, reaching a new high of Rs 275.60 per liter.
Similarly, high-speed diesel has witnessed a sharp rise of Rs 6.18 per liter, now priced at Rs 283.63.
These new rates will take effect from midnight and will remain in place until July 31.
