The monsoon season in Karachi has entered its third day, bringing much-needed rain but offering little respite from the city's intense heat.
Despite the clouds and rainfall, the temperature remains high, with the Met Department forecasting a possibility of light rain today.
Karachi is experiencing partly cloudy, hot, and humid weather conditions. The chief meteorologist confirmed the likelihood of rain in Karachi today, following the heaviest rainfall in Surjani Town yesterday.
Looking ahead, the next spell of monsoon rains is expected to hit Karachi after July 20. In the meantime, the city continues to grapple with sweltering temperatures, which are predicted to reach up to 37 degrees Celsius today.

Additionally, winds are blowing at a speed of 11km per hour, while the humidity level stands at a high 83%, according to Sardar Sarfaraz, the chief meteorologist. He also said the sea breezes are likely to return from Wednesday evening or tomorrow.
As Karachiites navigate the challenging weather, the authorities urge residents to stay hydrated and take necessary precautions to beat the heat while enjoying the seasonal rains.
The Met Department had forecast more rain-wind/thunderstorms for Karachi, Hyderabad, and various parts of Sindh on Tuesday night, as light to moderate monsoon currents from the Arabian Sea and Bay of Bengal penetrated the upper and central regions of Pakistan.
A westerly wave was also impacting the northwestern parts of the country. According to the PMD, the weather conditions were likely to bring more rain-wind/thunderstorms to Umerkot, Tharparkar, Mirpurkhas, Mithi, Badin, Sujawal, Thatta, and Karachi on Tuesday night.
