Sindh Energy Minister Nasir Hussain Shah has issued a stern warning to K-Electric, Hyderabad Electric, and Sukkur Electric, mandating that load shedding must not occur between 10 pm and 6 am. This directive aims to alleviate the burden on citizens during critical hours.
Minister Shah emphasized that all three power companies are required to implement measures to reduce load shedding both during the day and at night.
He stressed that if load shedding is unavoidable, the public must be informed in advance to minimise inconvenience.
Highlighting the hardships faced during the hot summer months, especially in the afternoons, Shah insisted that efforts be made to prevent load shedding during these peak hours.
Additionally, a committee has been established to address electricity theft, with various institutions providing necessary support to curb this issue.
