The Met Department has forecast that most parts of Pakistan will experience hot and dry weather during the day. However, there are expectations of rain in certain regions in the evening, which might bring some relief.
According to the latest reports, northeastern Balochistan and southern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are likely to receive rain. There may also be drizzle in central and southern Punjab as well as upper Sindh.
Additionally, there is a possibility of rain at a few places in the Potohar region and Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
In Islamabad and the surrounding areas, the weather is expected to be hot and partly cloudy, with the maximum temperature likely to reach 37 degrees Celsius.

The temperatures in other major cities are also anticipated to rise, with Lahore reaching up to 39 degrees Celsius and Karachi up to 35 degrees Celsius. The southwestern cities of Turbat and Gwadar might experience extreme heat, with maximum temperatures soaring to 48 degrees Celsius.
Lahore weather update
Lahore is currently recording a temperature of 36 degrees Celsius, with the maximum temperature predicted to rise to 40 degrees Celsius today.

The city will experience partly cloudy weather with a 50% chance of rain, providing a possible respite from the heat. However, the Met Department has warned that the heat is expected to increase in Lahore next week.
Residents in the affected regions are advised to take necessary precautions to cope with the heat and stay hydrated. The potential rain might provide temporary relief, but the overall weather pattern remains predominantly hot and dry across the country.
