A huge explosion followed by a large blaze occurred early on Thursday morning at a warehouse in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, said officials citing local media reports.
The massive explosion followed by a towering inferno had erupted within one of the warehouses located in Tashkent's Sergeli district.
The blast, reportedly, was of such magnitude that it resonated up to 20 miles away, painting the night sky with a fiery spectacle that lit up the entire vicinity.
The Uzbekistan Ministry of Emergency Situations confirmed that a powerful explosion had occurred within a warehouse in Sergeli, leading to the destruction of nearby buildings and significant damage to the adjacent airfield.
Reports from the health ministry suggested that an undisclosed number of individuals had sustained injuries due to the explosion and ensuing fire.
