The Strategic Initiatives for Future Challenges (SIFC) is organizing a one-day seminar under its Green Pakistan Initiative, scheduled for June 4 from 9 am to 6 pm at the Pir Mehr Ali Shah Arid Agriculture University in Rawalpindi.
This seminar aims to educate participants about the Plant 4 Pakistan campaign, encouraging the youth to actively participate in this environmental effort. Attendees will gain insights into Pakistan's land structure and forests, enhancing their understanding of the nation's natural resources.
The event will feature panel discussions led by experts in forestry, agriculture, and livestock. These discussions are designed to provide a comprehensive overview of the initiative, emphasizing the critical role of ecosystem restoration, climate change mitigation, sustainable agriculture, and efficient water usage.
A highlight of the seminar will be the launch of the Plant 4 Pakistan app, a tool designed to facilitate broader community involvement in the campaign. Certificates will also be awarded to participants at the event's conclusion.
Plant 4 Pakistan, a flagship project of the Green Pakistan Initiative, focuses on a variety of themes including ecosystem restoration, climate change combat, social and agricultural plantations, and promoting youth and community engagement in environmental conservation.
The agriculture sector, a key focus of SIFC, has achieved significant milestones in a short period, reflecting the impact of concerted efforts under this initiative.
