The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has constituted a three-member committee for the delimitation of constituencies in Islamabad.
A notification has been issued in this regard.
The district election commissioner in Islamabad will appoint the convener of the delimitation committee from June 1 to 19, the initial publication will be held on June 20, the objections issued on the schedule will be from June 21 to July 5, and objections will be disposed of by July 20.
The Chief Election Commissioner has written a letter to the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) administration, warning that the delay will not be tolerated, the constituencies will be according to the seventh census report, the sources said.
According to the notification of the committee formed for delimitation, the District Election Commissioner has been appointed as the convener, the members include Election Officer Rawalpindi-I and Election Officer-II.
