Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur issued a stern warning on Wednesday to the federal government, vowing to take control of the grid station himself if the unannounced and prolonged loadshedding in the province is not resolved by tomorrow.
Addressing a press conference, the Chief Minister lambasted the federal government for its failure to address the energy crisis in the province, which he termed "cruel" and "unannounced". He demanded a schedule for reducing loadshedding by tonight, warning of severe consequences if his demands were not met.
Gandapur expressed outrage over the federal government's inability to resolve the power crisis, which he attributed to its incompetence and political vendetta against the province.
He claimed that despite Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's contributions to the national grid, the province was being subjected to the worst loadshedding, with people suffering due to the federal government's failures.
The CM also highlighted the financial burden of the power crisis on the province, citing a deficit of Rs110 billion and accusing the federal government of neglecting its responsibilities.
He stressed that his government would not tolerate further injustice and would take drastic measures if necessary.
