A parliamentary delegation from the Pakistan People's Party (PPP) met with Federal Minister for Privatization, Board of Investment and Communications Abdul Aleem Khan to discuss the privatization of various projects.
The meeting, held in Abdul Aleem Khan’s office, included prominent PPP members such as Naveed Qamar, Sherry Rehman, and Salim Mandviwala.
During the meeting, Abdul Aleem Khan assured the delegation that the privatization process would be conducted transparently, with all details made available to the public through the media.
He emphasized the importance of privatizing projects that are running at a loss, stating that such burdens strain the national economy.
Furthermore, Abdul Aleem Khan expressed his willingness to hold awareness sessions on privatization with other political parties, including the PPP, to address any concerns they may have.
In response, the PPP delegation welcomed the opportunity for dialogue and expressed their readiness to collaborate on the issue.
They appreciated Abdul Aleem Khan's openness to address their questions and concerns, signaling a constructive engagement between the government and opposition parties on the matter of privatization.
