During the meeting, topics such as the security of Chinese nationals in Pakistan and the arrangements for PM Sharif's visit to China were discussed.
They also talked about progress in the investigation into the Bisham incident, in which Chinese nationals were killed. According to Naqvi, the Bisham incident was an assault on the friendship between China and Pakistan, and those responsible would ultimately meet a terrible end.
He informed the Chinese ambassador that stringent standard operating procedure (SOP) implementation was being ensured, and that new measures would be formulated for the protection of Chinese nationals throughout Pakistan.
The minister informed the ambassador that he had met the consul generals at the Chinese consulates in Karachi and Lahore, who conveyed their contentment with the security measures implemented for the Chinese nationals.
“Pakistan will not allow any conspiracy to sabotage friendship with China to succeed,” Naqvi declared, stressing that the two countries enjoyed a close, fraternal relationship that lasted for decades and that the enemy was unable to break through.
Federal Interior Khurram Agha, high officials of the Chinese embassy and related officers were also present on the occasion.
