In a swift and decisive operation, the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) thwarted a terrorist plot in Quetta, killing four militants in an intense exchange of fire on Sibi Road.
According to a CTD spokesman, the militants, riding a motorcycle, opened fire on a police mobile. The officers retaliated, killing one of the attackers.
The remaining three terrorists attempted to escape but were cornered by the CTD operational team, who surrounded the building they had taken refuge in.
In the ensuing battle, the CTD team neutralised the remaining three militants, recovering weapons and a motorcycle from the scene.
The CTD spokesman praised the bravery and professionalism of the officers involved, stating that their swift action prevented a potentially catastrophic attack and ensured the safety of the citizens of Quetta.
