Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP) Punjab chapter president Rana Nazeer vowed on Saturday to avoid the politics of confrontation.
Addressing the press conference in Lahore flanked by IPP leader Shoaib Siddiqui, Nazeer said: "The politics of confrontation had harmed the country." He expressed optimism that the masses' problems could be addressed.
"Our objective is to uplift the country and promote peace. Our leadership has the vision to address the myriad problems faced by the masses," Nazeer said.
He said: "We will contest the local body elections with great verve following the announcement of the local body elections."
"We will also stage the public gatherings in Punjab and serve the masses with vigour," Nazeer added.
Meanwhile, expressing his thoughts, IPP leader Shoaib Siddiqui said: "We will take the party to the UC level within a few days. The organisation of the IPP is being initiated."
"People from across the country are willing to join the IPP," Siddiqui added.
