The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) on Monday made significant strides in the investigation into the heinous attack on a bus carrying Chinese engineers in Bisham, as it apprehended four individuals linked to the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) terrorist outfit.
All four individuals are reported to be residents of Mansehra and identified as Mohammad Shafiq Qureshi, Zahid Qureshi, and Nazir Hussain, alongside the prime accused Adil Shahbaz hailing from Jalalabad, Afghanistan, have purportedly confessed their involvement in the tragic incident.
The suicide attack, which occurred on March 26, claimed the lives of six individuals, including five Chinese citizens. The vehicle carrying the Chinese nationals was targeted while en route from Islamabad to Kohistan, with reports suggesting that the attack involved a collision with an explosives-laden vehicle.
Speaking on the condition of anonymity, sources revealed that efforts are underway to dismantle the entire network behind the nefarious assault, underscoring the gravity of the situation and the need for comprehensive measures to address terrorism.
