The annual matriculation exams in Karachi are set to commence on May 7, announced the examinations controller, with arrangements made to accommodate both regular and private candidates.
According to Khalid Ehsan, the examinations controller, papers for the 9th and 10th-grade science subjects for regular candidates will be conducted in the morning shift. The morning session will commence at 9:30am and conclude at 12:30pm. Private candidates, on the other hand, will sit for their exams during the afternoon shift, from 2:30pm to 5:30pm, he added.
A total number of more than 370,000 regular and private candidates are expected to participate in the matriculation exams this year, as confirmed by Ehsan.
To ensure the smooth conduct of exams and maintain security, Section 144 will be enforced around examination centers, he further stated. Additionally, efforts will be made to prevent any disruptions due to loadshedding, with letters to be sent to K-Electric requesting uninterrupted power supply during exam hours.
In a bid to enhance efficiency and security, hub centers have been established in various districts of the city for the delivery of examination papers, Khalid Ehsan revealed.
With these measures in place, authorities aim to facilitate a fair and secure examination process for all candidates appearing for the matriculation exams in Karachi.
