While the first day of Eid brought scorching temperatures and a preference for staying indoors in Karachi, the Sindh Local Government Department has issued an alert for the rest of the province.
According to the Meteorological Department, rain with thunder is expected across Sindh from today, April 11th, until April 15th. This shift in weather conditions comes as a surprise after Karachi endured a sweltering Eid under a heatwave.
On Wednesday, the city witnessed a maximum temperature of 36 degrees Celsius with high humidity, prompting residents to stay home.
The Local Government Department, acting on the Meteorological Department's forecast, has urged residents to take all necessary precautions against potential heavy rain and storms.
This includes securing loose objects outdoors, clearing drainage areas, and staying informed about weather updates.
