Federal Minister for Commerce Jam Kamal said on Thursday that the incumbent government was looking to boost exports.
Expressing his thoughts in Islamabad, Kamal said: "The investors should be given confidence in a way similar to Dubai. We are making all-out efforts to end the menace of smuggling, tax fraud, and the promotion of business."
"We have not managed to get out of the agriculture-based economy," he added.
Kamal said: "The volume of the textile industry had reached almost $20 billion.".
"A cottage industry worth billions of dollars has been created in the world," he added.

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leaders retired Captain Mohammad Safdar and Khurram Dastgir on Tuesday felicitated ex-chief minister Jam Kamal on becoming the federal commerce minister.
According to details, Safdar and Dastgir called on Kamal. On this occasion, Kamal resolved to move forward the country's trade agenda.
