The joint committee formed by the prime minister to investigate the recent attack on Chinese engineers in Bisham has received a comprehensive report from both the police and the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD).
Sources have revealed that the report was submitted to the federal government, outlining key findings and actions taken in response to the incident.
According to the report, authorities have diligently collected evidence from the crime scene to aid in the investigation process, sources said. Additionally, significant arrests have been made based on the evidence gathered, the sources added.
One notable detail highlighted in the report is that the suicide attack was reportedly planned in Afghanistan, suggesting potential cross-border implications. Furthermore, it has been disclosed that CCTV footage of the incident has been acquired.

As the investigation progresses, the statements of the arrested terrorists involved in the attack are being recorded to gather further insights into the motives and execution of the assault.

On March 26, six Chinese engineers were killed when the vehicle they were travelling in was attacked in the Bisham tehsil of Shangla district in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Malakand Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of police Muhammad Ali claimed that five foreign engineers and their driver were feared to be the victims after their car was attacked.
He further said that many people were feared injured in the attack also. "The attack appears to be a suicide, but an investigation is underway," the police officer said, adding that the passenger vehicle was going from Islamabad to Kohistan.
The officer claimed that attackers rammed an explosive-laden vehicle into the passenger car, which eventually fell into a ditch.
