Severe tremors were again felt early on Wednesday morning in different parts of Balochistan, including the provincial capital of Quetta, as the province continues to be rocked by multiple earthquakes within the past 24 hours.
According to the National Seismic Monitoring Centre, Islamabad, the magnitude of the earthquake took place at 02:27am on Wednesday and was recorded at 5.6 on the Richter Scale, while its depth was 30 kilometres.

The epicentre of the earthquake was recorded at 166 kilometres southwest of Quetta in the Pakistan-Afghanistan border region.
Besides Quetta, the tremors were also felt in Nushki, Pishin, Qila Abdullah, Chaman and other Pak-Afghan border areas.
The repeated earthquakes have created a sense of fear and panic among the citizens, however, no loss of life has been reported from the recent earthquake.

Authorities are urging citizens to remain vigilant and cautious as aftershocks are common following such seismic activities. Efforts are underway to ensure the safety and well-being of residents, with emphasis placed on preparedness and response measures.
Later in the morning, two more moderate level shocks were felt in the province. One was reported in Quetta and its surroundings with a magnitude of 3.9 on the Richter scale. Its epicentre was recorded 88km north-east of Quetta.
The other was recorded half an hour later with a magnitude of 4.3 and a depth of 33km. Its epicentre was recorded 50km northwest of Sibi.
On Tuesday evening also, an earthquake measuring 3.6 on the Richter Scale jolted parts of Balochistan, spreading tremors near the Zhob district. According to the seismological centre, the epicentre of the earthquake was located approximately 113 kilometres southeast of Zhob.
In the morning that day, two moderate-level earthquakes were experienced in Balochistan. The first earthquake tremors were felt around 5:35am in Quetta and its surrounding areas near the Pakistan-Afghan border, including Nushki, Chaman, Chagai, Qila Abdullah, Dalbandin, Pishin and other surrounding areas.

As per the national quake monitoring body, the magnitude of the earthquake was recorded at 5.4 on the Richter Scale, while its depth was 35 kilometres. The epicentre of the earthquake was 150km southwest of Quetta.
A short while later, the same area was struck by another earthquake at 06:24am. The magnitude of that earthquake was recorded at 4.5 on the Richter Scale, while its depth was 136km.
The epicentre of that earthquake was recorded 120km southwest of Quetta.
