Gas and electricity companies in Pakistan have decided not to implement unannounced loadshedding to ensure uninterrupted supply during the holy month of Ramazan.
The decision comes as part of a load management plan prepared by these companies to facilitate the public during this sacred time.
According to the plan, electricity will be provided continuously during critical periods such as Iftar, Sehr, and Taraweeh prayers, allowing individuals to observe their religious duties without any disruptions.

Similarly, gas loadshedding will be suspended during Iftar and Sehr hours, ensuring that households can prepare meals for breaking their fast and for the pre-dawn meal without any inconvenience.
The Ministry of Energy has issued clear instructions to both gas and electricity companies to adhere to this plan, emphasizing the importance of uninterrupted energy supply, particularly during Ramazan. Additionally, instructions have been communicated to power generation companies to support the initiative and maintain stable electricity production throughout the month.
In line with these directives, electricity and gas distribution companies have released their loadshedding schedules, providing transparency to consumers regarding any planned interruptions in their respective areas.

On Sunday, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif increased the volume of the Ramazan Relief Package from Rs7.5 billion to Rs12.5 billion.
In addition to increasing the size of the relief package, the prime minister also directed to broaden the scope of the package. According to the details, along with Utility Stores and the Benazir Income Support Programme, mobile units will also provide food items at low prices under this package.
The PM directed to deliver the food package to as many poor, needy and deserving people as possible.
