The Pakistan Army recently organized a Youth Convention in Peshawar, specifically for students from North Waziristan. The event saw a significant turnout of students eager to participate.
Addressing the gathering as a special guest was Lieutenant General Hassan Azhar Hayat, the Corps Commander in Peshawar.
During his speech, the Corps Commander emphasized the importance of instilling confidence in the youth regarding their country, nation, culture, and themselves. He also highlighted the potential dangers associated with social media misinformation and stressed the need for verification of news shared on these platforms.
The Youth Convention aimed to raise awareness among the younger generation about regional issues, ongoing challenges, and the long-term peace initiatives and development projects in the area.
The students from North Waziristan expressed their gratitude to the Pakistan Army for organizing such an event and hoped for similar initiatives in the future.
According to one student from the region, "Tribal youth are grateful to the Pak Army," while another appreciated the army's efforts for the welfare and peace establishment in North Waziristan.
The event underscored the strong bond between the youth and the armed forces, with one student remarking, "The youth stands like a solid rock wall with their armed forces."
