In a collaborative effort between the Frontier Corps and the Livestock Department of the govt of Gilgit-Baltistan, a free veterinary camp was recently organized in Juglot.
The camp, strategically located in the open field opposite the Transit Camp in Juglot, aimed to provide essential veterinary services to the local community.
Supported by the Livestock Department, the camp offered free health check-ups for animals, pregnancy diagnosis, vaccinations against common diseases and parasites, and other vital veterinary assistance.

Farmers and livestock owners were also educated on the significance of biosecurity measures and the timely administration of vaccinations to safeguard their animals from prevalent diseases.
The veterinary camp saw the active participation of key figures from the Livestock Department, including the Director and Deputy Director, along with their technical team.
A notable turnout of 2,958 animals from various species received expert treatment and care during the duration of the camp.
This initiative underscores a concerted effort by FCNA and the Livestock Department to enhance the welfare of livestock owners and farmers in the Juglot area, ultimately contributing to the improvement of livelihoods and agricultural practices in the region.
