On the sixth day of the Delhi chalo march, individuals from various religions also begin to join in support of the rights of Indian farmers.
The Church of South India in Kerala also comes forward in support of the Delhi chalo march.
Church Pastor Malayil Sabu Koshy states that supporting the protest demonstrates their firm commitment to justice and equality.
"We must grant farmers their rights for the sustainable development of our country's agricultural sector," says Pastor Malayil Sabu Koshy.
"We urge the government to either withdraw from the World Trade Organization agreements or reconsider the conditions of the farmers," he added.
Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge also severely criticizes the Modi government, labeling it as the worst for Indian farmers.
"The Modi government's continuous false claims are subjecting the farmers, who provide sustenance to the country, to a harsh test," remarks the Congress leader.
In Haryana, mobile and internet services have also been shut down until February 19.
Modi's security personnel halt the Delhi chalo march, scheduled for Tuesday, at the borders of Shambhu and Khanouri.
An announcement is made to continue the march until the acceptance of farmers' demands.
