The device boasts not one, not two, but three 48MP lenses on its rear, leading in a new era of high-resolution photography. Each of these lenses is equipped with an Exmor T for mobile image sensor, the same cutting-edge technology found in the Xperia 1 V's primary lens.
This technology stands out for its capacity to capture more light during photography, concurrently "substantially diminishing image noise." This elevated level of quality is now extended across the entire trio.
Expected specifications
In a later post, Insider Sony delves into the detailed specifications of each camera, shedding light on the hardware prowess of the Xperia 1 VI.
The primary lens hosts an Exmor T 1/1.4-inch sensor featuring a "generous aperture of f/1.4." This configuration promises enhanced light absorption, particularly beneficial in low-light scenarios.
The lens is equipped with a 2x optical zoom and Dual-PD AF (Dual Phase Detection autofocus), facilitating more accurate and rapid subject focusing compared to devices lacking this feature.

Additional noteworthy attributes include the capacity to record 1080p video supported by EIS (electronic image stability) for impeccable shot stability.
Moving on to the ultra-wide camera, armed with an Exmor T 1/2.7-inch sensor and a "focal length of 14-18mm," ideal for capturing distant vistas.
The lens incorporates on-chip autofocus, ensuring swift and precise subject focusing. Its performance relative to Dual-PD AF remains undisclosed at present.
The telephoto option, the final camera in this triumvirate, mirrors the previous lens with an Exmor T 1/2.7-inch sensor and on-chip autofocus. Its standout feature, as highlighted by Insider Sony, lies in the lens' 6x zoom capability.
The telephoto camera promises "remarkable levels of detail" courtesy of its 48MP sensor. However, the 6x hybrid optical zoom can only be accessed through sensor crop; devoid of the crop, the telephoto maxes out at 3x optical zoom.
