The Electon Tribunal judge on Friday accepted Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders Sharam Tarakai and Mehmood Jan to take part in the upcoming elections.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Tarakai said, ''Alhamdulilah. My nomination papers for NA-20, PK-53, and PK-52 Swabi are accepted according to the expectations of the blessings of Almighty Allah''.

The returing officers (ROs) had earlier rejected the nomination papers of both candidates.

PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan on Friday reacted to the Senate resolution, dubbing it the ''personal opinions of 14 lawmakers.''
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Khan reiterated the demand for holding the timely elections in the country on February 8.
