The UAE passport emerged as the world's most powerful for the fourth consecutive year, according to a new passport index.
The ranking highlighted the passport’s visa-free access to 133 countries, equating to around 90 per cent of global destinations. European nations dominated the remainder of the top 20, with Spain, Finland, France, and Germany completing the top five.
Despite its strong historical position, the UK passport fell from 22nd to 32nd place, marking a significant decline. UK citizens retained visa-free access to 118 countries, only 15 fewer than UAE passport holders, but were overtaken by several nations in the ranking.
The list of the 30 most powerful passports included countries such as Belgium, Italy, Denmark, and South Korea. Japan, previously among the top-ranking nations, appeared in the latter half of the top 30.
