The Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL) has achieved a significant milestone in Pakistan's energy sector, announcing a major gas discovery in the Uch Sharif area of Dera Bugti, Balochistan. The breakthrough comes as a result of advanced technical expertise and strategic exploration efforts.
Leveraging sophisticated drilling capabilities, the company successfully excavated a well to a depth of 1,345 meters, uncovering substantial gas reserves. The project is set to produce approximately 5 million standard cubic feet of gas daily, addressing the critical energy shortages in the region.
The discovery is particularly notable for its strategic implications.
